Design + Embroidery
After generating a QR code online that links to joycecroft.com, I created a high resolution vector art version. I imported the high res image into the BERNINA Embroidery software to convert it to EXP and ART files, uploaded it to my sewing machine to embroider.
It took a few tests of stabalizers, tension, stitch speeds, color contrast, and output size before finding the right combination that works.
Glow-in-the-dark
As an experiment, I embroidered the QR Code in glow-in-the-dark thread. As a surprise, I chose to embroider it on white fabric so that it montone, and not visible until the thread was charged and glowed. Unfortunately, the contrast of the glow-in-the-dark pattern was not high enough to work when scanned. It loots pretty cool though!
